Carlton name new leadership group

The Blues have named their new leadership group for 2016, with Marc Murphy retaining the captaincy for a fourth straight season.

Bryce Gibbs is the only other surviving member from last year's leadership group in the new seven man team.

Kade Simpson has been named vice-captain, taking over the role from 2015 joint vice-captains Gibbs and Michael Jamieson.

Patrick Cripps, Sam Docherty and Ed Curnow have been elevated to the group for the first time, while veteran Andrew Walker returns to the group after a one-year absence.
