Brisbane forward Logan Morris would be willing to take a pay cut to remain at the Lions beyond 2027, if that's what he decided to do.

Morris is quickly becoming one of the hottest trade targets, and with Tasmania Devils entering the competition as his current contract expires, it adds another layer of intrigue to his future.

"I think, with my contract, I've obviously got the rest of this year and the whole of next year," Morris said on The Agenda Setters.

"At the moment, I'm just focused on finishing this year out, playing some good footy. Obviously, if I can play some good footy, then the contract stuff will work itself out, and my manager is doing all that for me, and I kind of worry about playing footy and bringing what I need to bring to the team, and right now, it's Brisbane.

"That's all I'm focused on at the moment. In my eyes, I've got a lot of footy left to play before I can make a decision. Got the whole of this year and next year."

Historically, Brisbane players have taken less to remain in Queensland to keep the strong squad together. Hugh McCluggage and Cam Rayner turned down monster offers from rival clubs to continue playing for the Lions, while restricted free agent Zac Bailey will give up around $2.5 million if he were to pass up on Adelaide's offer.

Morris, who has quickly become a focal point of the club since joining ahead of the 2024 season, said he's open to a pay cut.

"Definitely," he said.

"A few of the boys have done that in the past and definitely will have to do that if (I stay). I'll let all that sort itself out. I don't really want to talk about it too much right now because I think I've got a lot of footy.

"But if I have to do that, I will, but I've got a lot of footy left to play so I'll leave it at that."

Morris has played 63 games for Brisbane, kicking 124 goals. He's already a two-time premiership player, and is searching for a third.

He was drafted out of the Western Jets in Victoria.
