The inclement weather has taken another scalp with Brisbane fans left stranded at Brisbane and Gold Coast.
Virgin flights have been delayed - and in some cases, cancelled - with many fans choosing to fly into Melbourne this morning to avoid the price hikes.
But fans will now likely not arrive in time for the game.
It comes as Melbourne braces for its wettest grand final since 2009.
