Brisbane have announced trio Mitch Cox, Ely Smith and Deividas Uosis have not been offered new deals for next season.

Cox joined the Lions this year through the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period after a stellar campaign in the VFL last season.

After a season on the Lions' rookie list in 2022, Cox's time with the club has come to an end after registering no AFL games.

Smith was drafted to Brisbane through the 2018 National Draft as the 21st overall selection, Brisbane's first for the count.

Injuries hampered Smith's tenure with the Lions, with the 22-year-old unable to break into the club's senior side.

Uosis was added to the Lions' list in 2020 as a Category B rookie from a Gaelic football background.

Like Cox and Smith, Uosis did not feature at AFL level in his time with the club.

“It’s an unfortunate time of year when changes must be made due to pressure for list spots,” Lions football boss Danny Daly said in a club statement.

“All three are extremely hard-working individuals who represented themselves with great professionalism and diligence during their time at the Club.

“We thank them for their service and wish them all the best for the future.”

The trio of delistings join Mitch Robinson in having departed Brisbane this year.
