Adelaide midfielder Richard Douglas will miss the grand final rematch on Thursday night after the Crows failed to overturn Douglas' one-game ban for a bump on Essendon's Zach Merrett in round one.
The incident took place in the opening quarter, as Douglas elected to bump Merrett.

The Essendon midfielder took a while to get back to his feet before leaving the ground in the hands of the trainer.
Merrett then failed a concussion test on the bench, as was ruled out of returning to the game.
He has since trained with the club during the week, and is a strong chance to take on the Dockers at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.
Douglas will miss his side's clash with Richmond on Thursday night, and the Crows have been fined $10,000 for losing the appeal.
