The AFL have fined GWS $100,000 and imposed a penalty of 1000 draft points following the Lachie Whitfield drugs saga.
Whitfield was accused of hiding at former Giantsโ official Craig Lambertโs house in order to avoid drug testers last season, with the help of former GWS football chief, Graeme Allan.
The 22-year-old was suspended for six months, while Allan and Lambert both received 12 month bans.
The AFL has today announced that the club has also been sanctioned over the incident.
The loss of 1000 draft points equates to roughly pick No.15.
