Carlton captain Patrick Cripps has been subbed out of the Blue clash with the Gold Coast with a left hamstring injury.

The Carlton skipper went down the race at quarter time and was officially taken out of the game in the second quarter.

Moments after the switch, Gold Coast made their sub with Rory Atkins entering the game for Jy Farrar who also suffered a hamstring injury.

The blows kept on coming for the Blues with Coleman Medalist Harry McKay leaving the field with a suspected broken nose.
