Carlton veteran Kade Simpson will take to the field for his 18th season in 2020, after penning a one-year extension.

Simpson has played 325 games for the Blues, and currently sits fourth all-time on the club's games played list, and will only need to play four games next season to move past John Nicholls into third.

“I love playing for the Carlton Football Club, this place has been a big part of my life for nearly 18 years now and I really feel I still have a lot to offer this group which is why I’ve signed on,” Simpson told the club's website.

“The Club is going in the right direction and you just don’t know how quickly things can turn, we have talent that is quickly developing. I want team success and I want to achieve it with this group.”

With Simpson re-signing, the Blues now have just seven players off contract at season's end. To see their full contract list, click here.
