The Western Bulldogs are showing interest in Demons forward Mitch Hannan, according to The Age's Peter Ryan.

The out-of-contract 26-year old has links to Whitten Oval as a member of Footscray's 2016 VFL premiership team.

The Bulldogs are looking to add more firepower to their forward line and have already been linked to Saint Jack Lonie.

They reportedly believe Hannan is capable of playing as both a lead up player and crumbing forward.

The mature-age recruit played 35 games in his first two seasons at Melbourne but has since fallen out of favour, making just nine senior appearances in 2020.

Several Demons could be on the move this trade period, with ruckman Brayon Preuss nominating GWS as his preferred destination.

Both Tom and Oscar McDonald could also be wearing new colours in 2021.
