Brisbane defender Alex Witherden is understood to be on the radar of West Coast despite being contracted until the end of the 2022 season, per AFL Media's Cal Twomey.

Witherden found himself out of the senior side toward the end of the 2020 season, playing just the six matches for the year.

The 22-year-old signed a new deal midway through last season and is now of interest for the Eagles.

West Coast are set to gain the services of Greater Western Sydney forward Zac Langdon, while ruckman Tom Hickey has been linked to the Swans.
