Essendon and Port Adelaide look to be at a crossroads surrounding trade negotiations for Orazio Fantasia, with Bombers list manager Adrian Dodoro reportedly requesting one of five Power players to get the deal done.

Fantasia looks set on a move to South Australia this year after backflipping on a move home 12 months ago, but it could be the bargaining that stalls any deal this time around.

It is understood that Port offered a second-round selection valued at pick 28 in a straight swap for Fantasia, with Essendon turning down the deal in hope of adding a first-round selection.

The Power do not hold a first-round pick in the upcoming draft, with Dodoro turning his attention to Port Adelaide's list.

According to Fox Sports' Tom Morris, Essendon asked for one of Ollie Wines, Zak Butters, Xavier Duursma, Todd Marshall or Mitch Georgiades, with Power list manager Jason Cripps rejecting the request.

Port Adelaide hold picks 28, 34, 46, 56, 58 and 94 in the 2020 draft.
