It's officially the AFL off-season, with free agency opening on Friday, and the 2026 Trade Period will follow just days later.
All 18 clubs look set to be active in the player movement space, with some busier than others in looking to lure talent through their doors.
Hawthorn, Carlton and the Western Bulldogs pose as the busiest clubs in the off-season, while almost every team has been linked to a rival player.

Fremantle

The Dockers haven't had strong links to any rival players, but have perfected the rookie and pre-season supplemental periods in recent years. Richmond's Nathan Broad was linked to the club, but that option is unlikely.
However, Fremantle's heartbreaking grand final loss could force the club to look at improving its list, including second ruck stocks and key defensive options.
