Sydney winger Justin McInerney and North Melbourne defender Jackson Archer have both been slapped with three-week suspensions after the Match Review Officer (MRO) handed down its findings from Saturday's contests.
Starting with McInerney, who found himself in hot water after electing to bump Brisbane defender Brandon Starcevich.
The Lions premiership backman was left concussed after the incident and will miss at least the next 12 days of action, including the club's Round 2 clash.
McInerney's bump was graded as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, constituting a three-week ban.

On top of the suspension, McInerney will need to reach into his back pocket and cough up $11,250 ($6,875 guilty plea) for two separate incidents during Saturday's loss to the Lions.
The 24-year-old engaged in rough conduct against Brisbane's Jarrod Berry, which was a second offence and resulted in a $5,000 ($3,125 guilty plea) during the third quarter.
In the final term, McInerney was sanctioned for tripping (second offence) Noah Answerth and will need to hand over $6,250 ($3,750 guilty plea) after the MRO graded it as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.
In the same game, Harris Andrew (rough conduct on Oliver Florent - $3,000), Darcy Fort (striking Braeden Campbell - $3,000) and James Jordon (careless contact with an umpire - $3,125) were also penalised.
As for Archer, the young Roo was involved in a sickening incident that left Western Bulldogs defender Luke Cleary knocked out cold.
Cleary was stretched from the field but has since been cleared of any serious injury, although he has entered concussion protocols.
Archer's incident was graded as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, with the MRO seeking a three-week layoff.

Fremantle veteran Jaeger O'Meare avoided a suspension for his rough conduct sanction on Geelong's Oliver Dempsey.
O'Meara will pay $3,000 ($2,000 guilty plea) for the careless conduct, low impact and high contact charge.
