Two players have been fined by the Match Review Officer for respective acts following Saturday's AFL action.

No one was sanctioned in North Melbourne and Fremantle's clash, however a player from both the Lions-Giants and Bombers-Cats games will have to cough up a percentage of their pay cheque this week.

GWS forward Harvey Thomas has been issued a $3,000 fine for tripping Brisbane's Zac Bailey.

The incident occurred in the third term and can be reduced to $2,000 with an early plea.

The MRO graded the incident as intentional conduct, low impact, and body contact.

Meanwhile, Essendon veteran Jayden Laverde has been fined for careless contact with an umpire. The moment happened in the final term of the match, and as a result Laverde can accept $1,500, reduced to $1,000 with an early plea.
