The AFL's Match Review Officer has charged seven players from Saturday's AFL Finals action.
Carlton's Nic Newman has been charged with striking for a fourth-quarter incident involving Brisbane's Lachie Neale. The MRO graded Newman's actions as intentional conduct, high contact and low impact.
Newman can accept a $3750 fine with an early guilty plea, or risk a $6250 fine with a failed challenge.
Newman was also one of four players in the Blues vs Lions game charged with engaging in a melee. He can also accept a $3125 fine with an early guilty plea or risk a $5000 fine with a challenge.
Teammate Lewis Young ($1250-$1875 fine) and Brisbane pair Will Ashcroft ($1875-$3125) and Logan Morris ($1250-$1875 fine) have also been charged for the first quarter melee.
Blues captain Patrick Cripps can accept a $1250 fine for his off-ball strike on Lions midfielder Jarrod Berry in the third quarter. That sanction is reduced from a $1875 fine if the charge is challenged and Cripps is unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, Saturday afternoon's qualifying final between Sydney and GWS has seen Tom Papley and Toby penalised for their involvement in a first-quarter melee.
Both players can walk away with $1250 fines with early guilty pleas or risk $1875 fines with challenges.
No other players were charged from Saturday's matches.
