The AFL has announced a trio of local stars to perform on football's biggest stage at the MCG ahead of the 2026 Grand Final.
Australian music stars G Flip, Michael Paynter and Mike Brady are set to join headline act and Australian sweetheart Kylie Minogue. The trio will play key roles in the Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment program before the opening siren on the big day.
Performing the Australian National Anthem will be acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Michael Paynter, who has built a reputation as one of Australia's most accomplished vocalists, performers and songwriters, with a career spanning stage, television and live music.
“AFL is a deep and important part of my family's past, present and future. It's an absolute honour to be chosen to sing our country's great anthem on a stage such as this, and I'll be giving it everything I've got.”
Mike Brady AM's Up There Cazaly remains one of the most enduring songs in Australian sport, having formed part of Grand Final Day traditions for generations of football fans. Mike will once again belt out his iconic football hit as part of the Toyota AFL retiree motorcade.
"Wow, 47 years since I first sang Up There Cazaly at the mighty MCG, way, way back in 1979. It's been a great honour to have been a small part of our wonderful game's history. I still get a thrill when the crowd join with me in the chorus, and I consider myself very lucky and grateful that it still means so much to so many Australians. Being part of the wonderful line-up of Australian and International artists honoured to perform on Grand Final Day 2026 is a great highlight for me every year that I perform. ARIA Award-winning, Melbourne-born artist G Flip will kick off proceedings with a highly anticipated opening set for Kylie Minogue, setting the stage for an unforgettable afternoon at the MCG.
