Former Carlton star Brendan Fevola will lace up for struggling VAFA side, the Eley Park Sharks, on Saturday.
The two-time Coleman medalist is set to grace the field for the struggling Sharks in the Victorian Amateur Football Association's Thirds, Division Seven, Men's Competition. The event is set to boost the struggling club after a winless 2025 season.
In major coups for the day, 101.9 The Fox radio station has organised special guest, comedian David Hughes, to line up alongside "Fev" for the Sharks, as he returns to Football for the first time since the AFL legends game, in which he suffered brutal injuries. The station was also successful in organising a performance from multi-platinum Australian artist Amy Shark, to be staged during the half-time intermission.
Fevola is set to line up in Tasmania the week after, on May 23rd, in another special guest appearance. Fevola will play in the Sorrell Eagles reserves side in the Tasmanian Southern Football League, in what is expected to be one of the biggest days in the club's history.

All of this follows last year's appearance for the Dandenong Masalas. Fevola helped the club secure its first win in more than three years, creating a viral moment across social media. Musician Guy Sebastian ruptured his Achilles tendon in the match.
Appearances for East Sunbury and South Whyalla also populate Fevola's resume of feel-good football acts, as 101.9's Fifi, Fev & Nick do their part to generate good will in the community.
These guest appearances are made in the hopes of spurring struggling local clubs back to life, boosting them for future seasons after struggling in the past.
