The AFL is currently investigating an alleged racial slur between two sets of fans during Sunday's Port Adelaide vs. West Coast JLT Community Series game at Leaderville Oval.

Seconds after the final siren, tensions began to rise after a man allegedly called another group of fans "n*****s" before leaving the ground to avoid being caught.

Friends of the offender reportedly apologised to the group soon after the incident, although both groups needed to be separated following the match.

The AFL released a statement on the issue.

"The AFL does not tolerate anti-social behaviour on any level, and it will be dealt with as swiftly and quickly as possible," an AFL spokesperson said.

Only last year, both Eddie Betts and Paddy Ryder were racially vilified during the round three Showdown at Adelaide Oval.
