The AFL has confirmed the league's heat policy will be implemented during tomorrow's game between Adelaide and Greater Western Sydney at Adelaide Oval.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 37 degrees in Adelaide on Sunday. As a result, there will be extended breaks at quarter-time, half-time and three-quarter time. Each break will be extended by two minutes.

There will also be extra water people on duty to keep the players hydrated in the sweltering conditions.

To accommodate the extended breaks, the game will start five minutes earlier, with the bounce now scheduled for 2.45pm local time.
