Ballarat's Under-18s National Championships double header on Wednesday delivered in spectacular fashion as South Australia won by one point over Vic Country and the Allies defeated Western Australia by six points.
Both games featured momentum swings as plenty of players from across the four teams put their skillset on show.
Western Australia and South Australia conclude the carnival with a 2-2 record, while the Allies finish with a 1-3 record.
Find out about the standout performers below.
Allies
Sonny Smiler: Both of the Northern Territory prospect's goals were rewarded with backflips and he was always looking to make things happen around goals as he has all carnival. But the highlight of his game was undoubtedly his pass to set up Connor Freiberg who kicked the winner late in the last quarter, Smiler lowering his eyes and putting it on a platter for him. Remains extremely raw but there is definitely some likeable upside.
Caylen Murray (Brisbane Academy): Surely the favourite for the Allies MVP, it was another electric showing in defence from Murray. Looked to open the game up with his kicking and save for a rare error deep in defence in the second quarter, was clinical and was a big part of the win. Used his speed to run away from opponents on the regular.
Cooper Hodge (Hawthorn father-son, Brisbane Academy): Clearly the standout performance of Hodge's National Championships, the Brisbane and Hawthorn-tied prospect stood tall in the last quarter. Did plenty of the grunt work around stoppage, which started with winning the first centre clearance of the last quarter, some moments of pressure, distribution and clean skill all following. Also set up an Archie Hill goal with a laser-like kick which was an important showcase of his foot skills which have been questioned.

Jake Beams: The standout player of the game for the Allies, it is remarkable to consider he is only a couple of weeks off not even being eligible until the 2028 AFL Draft. Was a significant reason the Allies were able to turn the momentum in the third quarter, with his kicking sublime and drawing teammates into dangerous spaces he wanted them to be. Used the corridor coming out of defence, was not afraid to take grass with his legs and when he was given the opportunity to kick inside 50, he did not disappoint.
Charlie Bovill: Arguably the leader of the backline, Bovill proved impassable throughout the afternoon, marking or splitting the aerial contests that came his way. Took two second half intercept marks, but even when he was not intercepting, he was unbeatable in the air. Also got forward and had a late shot which went wide.
Cooper French (GWS Academy): Will rue a couple of missed shots but was a lively presence in attack for the Allies, with his decision making an execution on show. A goal assist to Sonny Smiler was a highlight and came at an important time. Has natural craft and athleticism to match.
