AFL Draft: Ranges pair shine as two father-son prospects take out State Combine tests

Eastern Ranges pair Rod Ali and Marcus Krasnadamskis were among the standout performers at this year's AFL Draft State Combine testing, while a pair of father-son prospects claimed the best times in two events.

Ali topped the vertical jump and running vertical jump tests. His standard vertical leap came in at 82cm - seven better than the next best and two ahead of National Combine leader Max King.

The Ranges defender's left-hand running vertical saw him record a score of 93cm, which would've been good for third at the National Combine.

Krasnadamskis finished in the top five in four of the six tests, scoring well in all three vertical jump tests and the 20-metre sprint.

South Australian Bryce Sanders claimed the right-handed running vertical jump with a height of 87cm.

Western Australian and West Coast father-son Charlie Banfield took out the 2km time trial event with a time of six minutes and eight seconds - the fourth best across both national and state testing.

His WA teammate, Dale Sutherland, took out the State Combine agility test with a time of 7.883 seconds, joining the five National Combine performers to go under the eight-second mark. Ali was the only other State Combine prospect to do the same.

Adelaide father-son Mitch Stevens bested the 20-metre sprint test, finishing in 2.885 seconds, good for second across all testing.
