Sam Cumming is a 186cm forward-midfield hybrid out of North Adelaide who caught the eye as a front-half threat.

Among the standouts from South Australia's undefeated U18s National Championships run, Cumming has risen through the ranks over the past 12 months to be in top 10 draft contention.

In the mould of Sydney's Isaac Heeny, Cumming is capable of holding down a forward target role while being able to follow up his work once the ball hits the deck, and can roll through midfield as a ball winner who can turn a game in an instant.

Following his stellar carnival with the Croweaters, Cumming returned to North Adelaide to play for their senior side, where he was able to have an immediate impact against senior opposition.

His debut saw him feature in the Roosters' best, while his second of four appearances netted him three goals from 21 possessions against South Adelaide.

The crafty forward-midfield hybrid will have suitors toward the top of the draft, with Essendon - who possess Picks 5 and 6 - viewed as a solid fit for the strong marking teenager.
