For the first time this year, the list extends to 50, with the crop characterised by a great evenness after the first round.
There is a nice blend of the types of players available

50 - Zac Antonellos (Eastern Ranges)

There's intrigue about Antonellos, who was part of Eastern Ranges' premiership last year before missing much of the first half of the season with injury this year. Played the last game of the Under-18s National Championships for Vic Metro where he was a lively link player in attack, was clean and had elite vision. Has struggled for fitness continuity during his time at the Ranges but has always shown dynamic AFL attributes when he has played.
49 - Sam Tassone (North Adelaide Roosters)

The rebounding half-back finished the National Chanpionships in style, with his ball use and energy off half-back a point-of-difference. Has risen quickly onto the draft radar this year after not even being able to crack his firsts school footy side last year. Is following Sam Cumming's path, from Victoria's Sunraysia region and boarding at prestigious Prince Alfred College.

Never quite got going as he would have liked in 2026 after missing the first half of the season with a shoulder injury. Creates chaos when he bursts off half-back and showed last year as a bottom-ager for Vic Country how tricky a proposition he can be to match up on. Got a game for North Melbourne's VFL side this year and has attributes as a third tall.
47 - Memphis Webb (North Adelaide Roosters)

A consistently skilled and balanced midfielder with few weaknesses, Webb is the below the top tier of star on-ballers but possesses traits that will transfer to the modern game with his power, strength and cleanliness. Missed just about all of last season with an ACL injury, using the time to pack on muscle. If anything probably didn't get the chance to show a secondary position this year.

He's finally in our power rankings! The Northern Knights pocket rocket has been our most asked about player this year after high production for the Northern Knights and Vic Metro which earned him the Morrish Medal. Has the strength to power through and stand up in a tackle and is a crafty for Wed who doesn't let his diminutive stature stop him from taking strong marks.
45 - Jake Soutar (East Perth)

An intercept marking menace who has had a breakthrough season in defence, Soutar attacks the ball with real tenacity and reads it in flight early which allows him to position himself well behind the footy. One of three mature-agers on this list, he has a state combine invite and finished the year on fire.
44 - Blake Justice (Calder Cannons)

An injury-interrupted season for the Essendon Next Generation Academy prospect prevented him from reaching the heights he promised but he has great athletic upside as a dynamic marking forward who can go into the midfield and win clearances. Has a lean build and has put on size, with the Calder Cannons product mixing outside damage with ball-winning.
43 - Archie Elliott (GWV Rebels)

A high-flying, hard working, goal-scoring forward, Elliott had a strong season of growth having been recast as a forward after spending time in the backline last year. Led the goal-kicking for Vic Country at the Under-18s National Championships and is capable of playing as a link player and deeper where his front-and-centre work comes to the fore and is also able to impact aerially. He is the cousin of former Melbourne-listed player, Rory Taggert.

42 - Jordan Knapp (Eastern Ranges)

A reliable utility who does everything with a minimum of fuss, Knapp has flown under the radar this year as a ball-winner who is efficient by foot. Also has deceptive strength and good hands, with his balanced skillset across the board making him employable across a range of positions. Captained Eastern Ranges this year and no Vic Metro player polled more Larke Medal votes at the National Championships than him.
41 - Marcus Prasad (Dandenong Stingrays)

A late-season bolter from the Dandenong Stingrays, Prasad is a flashy and athletic small forward who can step around opponents and see an avenue to goals from some ridiculous positions. Missed four months this year due to injury but spent the time building his frame and improving his kicking penetration and took no time to return to his best. Contrary to some reports, he is ineligible for Melbourne's Next Generation Academy.
