The AFL's highly anticipated upcoming video game, AFL 23, is facing another delay.

Originally supposed to be released on April 13, it was confirmed by the league and Big Ant Studios that the release would instead be on May 4, but now the game has seemingly been delayed again for Xbox users.

In an email sent by JB Hi-Fi to customers who pre-ordered the game, it is revealed that it won't ship until โ€œMid to Late June.โ€ However, PS4/PS5 and Steam digital and physical versions are both set to be released on May 4.

"Our suppliers have contacted us regarding this title and unfortunately, they have advised that the release date has now been pushed back," the email read.

"This title is now set for release in Mid to Late June. Please note that this date may be subject to change."
