The Carlton Football Club have reached a record 100,000 members for the first time in their 160-year history.

With an upcoming clash against arch-rivals Collingwood on Friday night at the MCG, it is only fitting that the unwavering Blues support is acknowledged by the club.

The club is proud of its diverse group of members, boasting a 90-consecutive year member who is aged 103 years old to the newest member born days ago.

So far in 2024, Carlton has averaged the second-most fans in attendance during the 5-2 start to the season, sitting slightly behind the Pies.

Over 46 per cent of Bluebaggers have been members for 10-plus consecutive years, with 22 per cent of the entire membership base coming from interstate.

AFLW memberships also continue to grow, currently sitting at 3,154 members ahead of the season starting in August.

Blues CEO Brian Cook said today's announcement is a true testament to the commitment of all Carlton people.

“I want to sincerely thank each and every person who has signed up to be a member in 2024. This is a significant moment for our football club, a history-making moment and we couldn't be prouder,” Cook said.

"Carlton supporters have a connection that is unlike anything else: it is unique and special.

“The passion, scale, and strength of our members is a competitive advantage, and the way our people have bought into what we now stand for as a values-based football club is what has been the most pleasing.

“Carlton supporters have a connection that is unlike anything else: it is unique and special.

“The unity and passion creates an electric environment at our games, and a strong sense of belonging between Carlton people out in the community.

“I also want to acknowledge and give my appreciation to all those at Carlton, past and present, who have contributed over the journey to help us reach today's historic milestone. Today's announcement is a team effort, over many years, and their hard work doesn't go unnoticed and deserves to be acknowledged.

“This is an incredible achievement and now we look forward to continuing our growth, on and off the field, throughout the years to come.”
