The Crows have re-signed first-year players Lachlan Murphy and Patrick Wilson on one-year rookie deals.

The pair will start 2019 on the rookie list, while utility midfielder Ben Davis, who is yet to make his AFL debut, has also signed on for another season.

The 21-year old enjoyed a successful season in the SANFL where he lead the team's goalkicking with 22 majors.

Murphy, 19, played 11 senior games for the Crows this season, booting 12 goals and providing frenetic tackling pressure.

Wilson, 23, was recruited from Sturt as a mature-aged rookie and had a dominant season in the SANFL, where he averaged 28 disposals and won their best and fairest award, but only played one senior game.

Crows general manager list management and strategy Justin Reid was pleased to see all three emerging talents put pen to paper.

“Lachlan Murphy is a fantastic story and we’re really happy with what he’s been able to do in his first year of senior football,” Reid told afc.com.au.

“Ben and Patrick both impressed in the SANFL this year and we look forward to seeing all three players develop further with another pre-season under their belts.

“We’re delighted Lachlan, Ben and Patrick have re-committed to the Club for 2019.”
