Adelaide have added 19-year-old Ben Davis to its long-term injury list.

Davis recently underwent foot surgery after a pre-existing stress injury didn't heal as the club or Davis would have hoped.

The utility was selected with the 75th pick in the 2016 AFL National Draft, but won't be eligible to play for at least eight weeks as per the rules for players added to the long-term injury list.

The youngster joins midfielder Cameron Ellis-Yolmen on the list, after Ellis-Yolmen ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a JLT Community Series match.

Adelaide have not nominated a replacement player for Davis yet, but can choose from Jonathon Beech, Hugh Greenwood, Paul Hunter, Alex Keath and Ben Jarman.
