Adelaide defender Jake Kelly will miss this week’s clash with the Gold Coast Suns due to an eye injury.

Kelly was poked in the eye in the first half of the Crows’ big win over Essendon on Saturday night.

Adelaide high performance manager Matt Hass said Lever will miss the trip to Metricon Stadium after seeking medical advice.

“Jake consulted a specialist and it was recommended that he have the week off,” Hass said.

“He will be reassessed early next week.”

Meanwhile, key forward Josh Jenkins is also expected to miss at least another week with a rib injury.
