Overall:

Fogarty started 2017 in the conversation to be taken at number 1 in the upcoming National Draft and while his stocks have dipped slightly, his potential has not been forgotten.

The big-bodied teen has been used up forward as a third tall for much of 2017 but has drifted into the midfield as well as into defence.

His strength has been a feature throughout his underage career, displaying the ability to break through tackles and use the ball cleanly, by both hand and foot.

His courage and competitiveness is something that will endear himself to fans around the AFL as will his Dustin Martin-like ability to fend off oncoming tacklers.

After carrying a minor meniscus tear throughout the under 18 championships, Fogarty was ruled out for the remainder of 2017 with the injury.
