Giant set for Tiger move, tough deal to negotiate
Richmond's negotiations with the GWS Giants for in-demand stars Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper are sure to go deep into the sign and trade period, with the Tigers needing to move heaven and earth to secure the duo this year after Hopper recently requested a move to Punt Road over Geelong.
Their collection of Picks 12, 19 and 30 at this year's draft, along with their own future first-round pick, are likely to be key in negotiations with the Giants should the Tigers be in the window to land Hopper on top of their likely acquisition of Taranto.
It has emerged that the Giants will likely demand a number of early picks for the pair, meaning Richmond may have to get creative to lure the pair to Tigerland.
Should they look toward playing personnel to help broker a deal, duo Ivan Soldo and Riley Collier-Dawkins are seen as potential options to be added to negotiations, having both garnered reported interest from across the league.

Speaking on AFL Trade Desk, AFL.com.au's Riley Beveridge flagged the Tigers duo could be seen as moveable assets for Richmond's discussions with the Giants, with the situation surrounding Soldo "an interesting watch".

Star Magpie set to sign new dealÂ
White-hot Magpie Jordan De Goey appears set to allay fears that he would depart the AIA Centre, with the 26-year-old closing in on inking a multi-year deal to remain in black and white.
Following the hybrid threat's scintillating start to September during Collingwood's narrow qualifying loss to Geelong, powerbrokers within the club's four walls opted to ramp up their retention plans for De Goey.
Despite pulling a deal for the former top-10 pick following his infamous trip to Bali during the bye week earlier this year, De Goey has been tabled the same contract earlier this week.
And according to Jon Ralph of The Herald Sun, it is a deal that De Goey and his contemporary form of management are set to agree upon.

Off-contract Eagle meets with Power, weighing up moveÂ
Out-of-contract West Coast forward Junior Rioli is said to have met with Port Adelaide's top brass and undergone a medical at Alberton Oval, reportedly deciding he want to join the South Australian club.
Rioli has emerged as an in-demand name this off-season, with the Power and Kangaroos among the clubs linked to the premiership Eagle.
Port Adelaide are understood to have tabled a "very attractive" multi-year offer to Rioli, and have been seen as the front-runners to land the 27-year-old should he sever ties with West Coast.
The St Mary's product has reportedly undergone a medical at Port Adelaide's headquarters and has met with senior coach Ken Hinkley and footy boss Chris Davies, according to The Advertiser.Â
9 News have stated that following his trip to Alberton, where he also met with premiership great Shaun Burgoyne, Rioli has "declared he wants to join" the club.

Saints' former first-rounder in Roos' sights
Hunter Clark has become the third Saint linked with a potential shift to Arden Street, following reports that the talented 23-year-old had made his way onto Alastair Clarkson's ever-growing wish list.
While Clark remains a contracted name on Linton Street for the 2023 season, the former top-10 pick has been raised as an obtainable option at the trade table, should the price be fair.
As first reported by Daniel Cherny of CODE Sports, multiple clubs are said to be circling the Dandenong Stingrays product ahead of the upcoming exchange period.

In entering the Roos' radar, Clark has joined current teammates Bradley Hill and Ben Long as targets for a change of scenery, with all three recently linked with futures in blue and white guernseys.

Young Docker latest to be considering Cockburn exit
Contracted Docker Liam Henry could join the raft names heading for the exits at Cockburn following revelations the 21-year-old is assessing his options ahead of 2023.
The sticking point for the former top-10 draftee has arisen due to a lack of senior action this season, with Henry donning the Dockers purple and white on just seven occasions.
Since joining Fremantle with the 9th selection of the 2019 National Draft, The Next Generation Academy talent has made 27 senior appearances under Justin Longmuir, however, Henry did not feature at all during the Dockers' finals run.
According to reports from News Corp, the flexible youngster is still seen as the understudy to his boyhood idol Michael Walters for an offensive role. The continued emergence of Michael Frederick has also edged the Western Australian further down the pecking order.
If a concrete view of the future cannot be constructed, Henry may soon join the ilk of Rory Lobb (Western Bulldogs), Griffin Logue (North Melbourne/Sydney), Blake Acres (Carlton) and Lloyd Meek (GWS) in opting out of the port suburb.

Suns midfielder on Magpies' radar
Middling Sun Brayden Fiorini could be set for a career rival next season following reports that Collingwood remains keen on attracting the 25-year-old's services.
While failing to feature for the expansion franchise after Round 18 this season, the Pies are said to have an eye on Fiorini, seeing the Northern Knights product as an import that wouldn't break their budget.
Though the Woods have been raised as a landing place for 2018 Brownlow medallist Tom Mitchell during the upcoming sign and trade period, reports from News Corp suggest that the son of former Magpie Barry Mitchell's $700,000 price tag is too dear for the top-four side.

Conversely, Fiorini is set to earn within the vicinity of $500,000 across the final year of his deal at Carrara, and while the 76-gamer's stature is unlikely to stir the senses quite like wantaway Giant Tim Taranto, the former first-round draftee falls within the Pies budget.
Fiorini only tasted senior action on 14 occasions this season, with Suns coach Stuart Dew opting to employ youth in the centre of the park as his fledgling side finished 2022 with a 10-12 record.

Dons swingman, Cats forward linked to Port AdelaideÂ
Port Adelaide's growing list of trade targets has seemingly hit Geelong and Essendon, with Cats forward Francis Evans and Bombers swingman Aaron Francis understood to be in the sights of the Power.
The Alberton club are already expected to land wantaway West Coast forward Junior Rioli after he toured the club's headquarters this week, while out-of-contract Bulldogs star Josh Dunkley has also been linked with Port Adelaide.
But it seems their list of potential acquisitions hasn't stopped there, with Ken Hinkley hoping to add further forward stocks in the form of Evans and the versatile Francis.
Evans is off-contract this year and remains on the fringe of selection at Kardinia Park, having played just seven games since joining the Cats in 2019, facing limited opportunities through both injuries and form.

According to 9 News Adelaide's Josh Money, Evans has been tabled a multi-year offer from Port Adelaide, while Francis could land a return home in a move to the Power.

Dons eyeing delisted Blue
Former Blue Liam Stocker could be in line for a career lifeline less than a week after being told his tenure at Princes Park had come to a close.
Stocker, 22, was delisted by Carlton following the cessation of their 2022 campaign, with many Baggers barrackers left shocked by list manager Nick Austin's choice to sever ties with the Sandringham Dragons product.
Having tasted senior action on 28 occasions since making his debut during the 2019 season, Stocker's ability to attack the ball head-on often earned praise during his stay on Royal Parade.
However, now cut adrift from Carlton's program, 7News' Mitch Cleary claimed that the inside midfielder had met with Essendon ahead of the sign and trade period.
While the Bombers are sure to have been drawn to Stocker's coalface skillset and discount pricetag, the Morrish medallist has spent the majority of 2022 plying his trade in defence at VFL level.

Rivals circling Blues onballer
Blues onballer Will Setterfield has reportedly been told he will have to wait until the end of the trade period before Carlton make a decision on his future.
Setterfield played only 13 matches in 2022, struggling to break into a star-studded Carlton midfield unit.
However, he played in the final five games after injuries to George Hewett and Matthew Kennedy, collecting a career-high 26 disposals in the Round 22 loss to Collingwood.
Rival clubs are understood to be interested in the 24-year-old and he may be poached prior to Carlton making a decision, according to SEN reporter Sam Edmund.
This comes as Matthew Owies, Matthew Cottrell, Sam Durdin and Josh Honey were re-signed, while Ed Curnow is rumoured to have followed suit.
