Richmond champion and AFL icon Dustin Martin will continue his local football expeditions around the country as he was locked in to feature for Tasmania club Clarence on June 13.
Martin played his first game of football since he retired from the top flight at the end of 2024 over the weekend, lining up for the Port Douglas Crocs in the Cairns League. He kicked two goals.
He will now venture down to the Apple Isle and the SFL Premier League to feature for the Clarence Roos, which is the home of Martin's premiership teammate Jack Riewoldt.
"It would be pretty close (to the biggest name at the club," Clarence senior coach Grant Fagan, the brother of Brisbane premiership coach Chris, said on Triple M.

"I was a bit shocked myself that it might happen, but for it to be confirmed, it's pretty exciting.
"It's been in the works for five or six weeks."
The Roos swapped a home game with opponent Kingborough to facilitate Martin's appearance for Clarence.
Martin will train with the club on the Thursday before the match, with Fagan also confirming that 20 lucky fans will get an opportunity to have dinner with 'Dusty' before he plays on Saturday.
