Essendon and Richmond have agreed to terms on a two-way trade, shaking hands on a deal that saw Kodi Jacques make her way from Punt Road to Tullamarine in exchange for the 27th pick of the upcoming draft.

Jacques, 22, made 26 appearances as a Tiger across four campaigns, joining Richmond's ranks during the 2019 expansion club signing period following a stint with the club's VFL program.

Jacques proved a weapon for Richmond across all three lines, showing flexible traits that were highly sought after by the Bombers.

“Kodi is a great addition to our AFLW program. She's tough around contests and known for her excellent work rate and defensive pressure," Essendon's AFLW list boss Georgia Harvey told club media on Friday.

“Kodi can play at either end of the ground, while also having the ability to rotate through the midfield. At only 22 years old, she's still young with a lot of potential and we look forward to watching her development continue at the Bombers.”

Essendon, Richmond and all other competing clubs will have until the 5pm (AEDT) on Monday, March 20 to complete any further trades.
