The Banner Man has added his signature perspective to Friday night's matches.
With the Swans and Bulldogs renewing hostilities for the second time this year, 10 years on from the latter's triumph in the 2016 Grand Final, Doggies diehard and Zero Hanger's resident comic Danny McGinlay has incited memories of the fiery preliminary final that preceded that match-up.
That preliminary final between the Bulldogs and the Giants was a modern classic, and is one of many memorable encounters that characterise the rivalry of the two sides.
The Swans, thanks to geography, share a rival with the Bulldogs, and McGinlay has referenced the triad in his banners for this week.
The latter Friday fixture, West Coast's hosting of Adelaide, has the later start time of 8:10pm AEST, meaning there will be mere hours between that match's conclusion and the commencement of the Socceroos' sudden death final against Egypt at the FIFA World Cup.
The Banner Man's Eagles iteration pokes fun at Adelaide's finals collapse, wherein they exited September in straight sets after entering as minor premiers. The Eagles will be looking to frank their strong home form this season against the fancied Crows, who will be desperate for a response after wilting in the Showdown last time out.
Sydney
We hate the Giants more than you
Western Bulldogs
No you don't
Adelaide
It's good to be in Perth
Beating the Eagles is our aim
Then it's only a couple of hours
Until the Socceroos game!
West Coast
We know we're not at our strongest
But history never forgets
Last year we almost beat you here
Then your finals ended in straight sets
