3. Jack Gunston signs with the Brisbane Lions

Gunston is set to enter unrestricted free agency at the end of the season, and with a wave of youth crashing through Waverley Park, the veteran swingman may be left searching for a new home for the 2023 season.

The 30-year-old is an ever-reliable forward-50 target, but he can also push onto a wing and show off his polished disposal and even switch into defence if necessary, depending on opponent match-ups.

There's every chance Gunston remains devoted to the Hawks and former teammate (and now coach) Sam Mitchell, but if not, keep an eye on Brisbane as a potential suitor.
