Star Magpie Adam Treloar has suffered a minor injury setback, the club confirmed.

The midfielder experienced calf tightness during the Magpies' return to training on Monday, with scans confirming a minor strain.

The 27-year old will now ease his way back into the full training program after leaving the track early in Monday's session.

Treloar is expected to be ready for Round 2 in 24 days time.

Collingwood GM of Football Geoff Walsh confirmed the injury news to collingwoodfc.com.au.

“Adam was feeling tight and came from the track as a precaution. A scan has confirmed a minor strain that will see Adam’s training loads wound back for a week or two,” Walsh said.

Treloar missed Round 1 with a hamstring strain.
