With the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games coming to a conclusion, it's time to look back at which of the AFL's stars would be able to handle the pressures of chasing gold in PyeongChang.

Skeleton - Joel Selwood

The Geelong skipper boast courage and determination more than anyone, and at high speeds, would trouble anyone around the corners of the PyeongChang track. Staying calm when the pressure is high, and reaching speeds of 100km/h, Selwood's composure would set him up for a solid run on the ice.

Speed Skating - Anthony McDonald Tipungwuti

Speed Skating is all about finesse, speed and balance, something Essendon's Tipungwuti is more than capable of. There isn't a more daunting task than taking on the small forward live wire, as Will Hoskin-Elliiot found out in the middle of the MCG in 2017. Imagine Tipungwuti pulling off a Stephen Bradbury all over again in 2018?

Biathlon - Tom Scully

The big engine of the former number one pick would suit the long, rugged course of Biathlon to a tee. On average, Scully was a running machine in 2017, topping 18km for a game twice in 2017, and posting high numbers in the 17km range. While skiing and running are a little different, he would have no problem adapting to the long distances needed to get on the podium in PyeongChang.

Ice Hockey - Dustin Martin

Who would love to see Martin marching towards you, ready to ping you up against the edge of the rink? No one would. Martin is a tough beast in the contest and would be the X-factor for any Ice Hockey team looking to add to his Premiership triumph in 2017 with an Olympic Gold Medal in 2018.

Alpine Skiing - Josh Kelly

Who can go fast, have the composure in the world, be slick with their feet and can move with ease; Josh Kelly. The highly sought after Giant was as composed as anyone in 2017, even with the off-field pressures of his contract negotiations, and possible clubs requesting his services. Kelly would suit the high speeds of the downhill events, moving side-to-side with ease and leaving the competition in his dust.

Curling - Josh J. Kennedy

Curling is a sport that is mainly hard to understand, but even harder to articulate on who fits the module of being suited to the sport physically. Kennedy is athletic in his running game, but would stop there, and he is dead accurate in front of goal. While many criticise his insane stutter run-up for goal, he is accurate, kicking 65.38. With the hammer being the most important shot, you want someone who can handle the pressure, as well as delivering it, and Kennedy is your man.
