Syndey ruckman Darcy Cameron is set to request a trade this off-season, and wants to play for Collingwood, according to the Herald Sun.

Cameron has played just one game for the Swans at senior level, but was impressive this season during his 11 games in the NEAFL.

The 24-year-old has been sounded out by the likes of Carlton and North Melbourne, although he's set to join Brodie Grundy in the ruck ranks at the Pies.

Cameron has spent the majority of his playing time in the ruck during games, meaning he's unlikely to be partnered up with Grundy in the senior side.

The move gives the Pies another option moving forward, should Grundy depart at the end of the 2020 campaign.

Grundy has 12 months remaining on his current deal before becoming a free agent, and the Pies are yet to get him to sign an extension.
