Port Adelaide's prospects for a Round 1 win have been buoyed by Robbie Gray's availability for the club's season opener against Brisbane next Saturday night.
The Power confirmed on Sunday that their gun veteran has been cleared of any muscle damage to his hamstring, having had his Saturday end early after pulling up sore early into Port Adelaide's AAMI Community Series clash with the Crows.
Initial fears placed Gray's Round 1 hopes in doubt, however the 33-year-old is now expected to be available for Ken Hinkley's selection planning against the Lions.
The injury news isn't all positive for Port Adelaide however, with midfielder Trent Dumont now placed under the AFL's concussions protocols following a head knock during his stint in a SANFL trial match on the weekend.
Dumont will be sidelined for the next 12 days, with the former North Melbourne midfielder to be available as early as the Thursday prior to Port Adelaide's first match of the home and away season.
The 26-year-old joined the Power through last November's Rookie Draft after being delisted from the Kangaroos at the conclusion of last season.

Dumont's latest setback adds to a knee injury that hindered his pre-season preparations, joining the likes of Charlie Dixon (ankle), Orazio Fantasia (knee) and Sam Powell-Pepper (hamstring) in finding a place in the Alberton Oval casualty ward in recent weeks.
The Power will travel to the Gabba to face fellow premiership contender Brisbane on Saturday, March 19 before matches against the Hawks, Crows and Demons.
