The West Coast Eagles are reportedly ready to "mount a raid" on Port Adelaide's Mitch Georgiades

Contracted until the end of 2023, Georgiades has so far declined to sign an extension at Port Adelaide this season.

The 20-year-old finished the season with 21 Goals — down from 32 last year. Georgiades was dropped twice in season 2022, struggling with his set shot and form in front of goal.

Though not yet mentioned in the Junior Rioli trade talks, Port Adelaide has an "element of concern" over the young forward's contract, according to SEN's Sam Edmund.

The Eagles hoped to draft Georgiades in 2019, but are now well-poised to make the move with picks 2, 20, and 26 on hand.

With West Coast legend Josh J Kennedy now retired, Georgiades may be seen as a long-term key forward replacement for the wounded Eagles.

But as one forward creates concern, another generates interest for Port Adelaide.

Edmund reports that Port maintain a keen interest in Melbourne small forward Kysaiah Pickett, who loves the Demons, but not their city.

Pickett's contract runs out in 2023, just like Georgiades, with the 21-year-old yet to sign a new deal this year.

Port Adelaide are in desperate need of a small forward in 2023, with Orazio Fantasia failing to stay healthy and the recent retirements of veterans Robbie Gray and Steven Motlop.

West Coast and Fremantle join the Power in their interest for Pickett, with the three clubs keen on luring him out of Melbourne.
