Collingwood have sent a war-chest of draft picks to secure the signature of former Carlton captain Brianna Davey.

The Magpies will send their first, second, third and fourth round picks for the Blues reigning best-and-fairest along with Carlton's fourth and fifth round selections.

Carlton will receive pick 2, 26, 44 and 59 in a swap for Davey and picks 67 and 82.

The deal gets done for the midfielder following her announcement of intention to move to the Holden Centre earlier this month on top of speculation Davey was looking to move on from the Blues after an injury-riddled 2018 season.

The 24-year-old was emotional and excited following the confirmation of her trade request and eyeing a new start in 2020 as a Magpie.

“I have a lot of respect for the club, and obviously they gave me my first opportunity pulling on an AFLW jumper, which is always something I’d wanted to do since being a young girl," Davey said.

“I know it’s a good young list, and I want to be able to hopefully come in and help grow the program and bring some of my experiences in past sports and over the last three years as well.”
