West Coast reportedly hold interest in Western Australian Swans midfielder Angus Sheldrick, who remains without a contract in Sydney for 2026.
Sheldrick has found career-best form in the red and white in recent weeks, averaging 22 disposals across his past four games.
The 21-year-old was either the starting sub or subbed out in his six other games under Dean Cox, with Sheldrick struggling to have the same impact due to limited minutes.
Since being given the chance for full games, Sheldrick has been an impactful contributor in the middle of the ground, averaging over six tackles and close to five clearances in his past quartet of appearances.
Still unsigned beyond the current season, the fourth-year Swan has reportedly earned interest from his home state, with the Eagles said to be keen on luring Sheldrick back to Perth, perย 7 News'ย Ryan Daniels.
The 178cm midfielder was drafted out of Claremont to Sydney with the 18th pick in the 2021 AFL Draft, with Sheldrick since recording 19 games for the Swans.
He has dealt with both injury and selection squeezes in his time in the Harbour City, with the Swans having a deep batting order of midfield talent.
The Eagles are looking to strengthen their midfield ranks with experienced but young ball winners, with local talent like Sheldrick fitting the club's desires.
Sydney will look to retain the inside ball winner and continue to boast a long line of talented options for both the present and future.
The Swans have a handful of draft reinforcements incoming, with Academy trio Max King, Noah Chamberlain and Lachie Carmichael all in the first-round mix.
Sydney currently hold Pick 6 for this year's draft and could look to add a prospect from the open talent pool before securing their club-tied teenagers.
