First it was 'Sheezy Ball', now it's 'No Contest Colby'.

Controversial media personality and former Port Adelaide premiership player Kane Cornes has once again taken aim at a North Melbourne youngster.

Harry Sheezel was on the chopping block last year, which led to a frosty relationship between the Kangaroos and Cornes.

On the weekend, Geelong coach Chris Scott acknowledged the impact Sheezel is having in the front of the ground, which Cornes praised the young Roo and Clarkson on.

"I think it's a credit to Alastair Clarkson and Harry Sheezel," he said on the Agenda Setters.

"It's exactly what I was calling for last year. To have that respect from Chris, to say, you've changed your game, your disposals, we're going to deploy a tag on you because we're worried about your ball use.

"Credit to the club and Harry for putting the work in."

Now it's Colby McKercher's turn to take his medicine.

McKercher registered no contested possessions against the Cats in Round 8, which is a concern for Cornes.

"The next one I want to identify who I think is getting into bad habits is 'No Contest Colby'," the former Power player said.

"Colby McKercher is a player I rate highly. So much talent. Did not have a contested possession against the side like Geelong, from 23 (disposals).

"You have to win your own ball, he is the only player on the ground not to have a contested possession. No doubt that's his role. He is their best user. But does Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera go into the contest? Does Nick Daicos go into the contest? Does Harry Sheezel? Yes they do. They're also there as the distributor.

"Don't get into bad habits. Get those habits out of your game.

"We can accept it now at this stage of your career but you don't want to be seeing this in a two, three years when he's taking kick-outs or looking for an easy handball and when the ball is there or a tackle is there to be laid, he does not want to go and seek any form of contact whatsoever."
