Port Adelaide star Chad Wingard will miss the next two to four weeks of football after scans confirmed the 23-year-old suffered a high ankle sprain against Melbourne on Saturday afternoon.
Wingard suffered the injury in the third quarter of his side's loss to the Demons after Melbourne defender Sam Frost tackled the Power forward and awkwardly fell on top of him, which resulted in Wingard needing help to leave the field.

The silky left-footer then returned at the start of the fourth quarter, but only lasted just minutes before heading back to the bench and watching the rest of the game from the sidelines.
Port Adelaide head physiotherapist Tim McGrath said Wingard will be monitored every week in the hope he can return from the injury as soon as possible.
โChad had scans on Monday, which confirmed a high ankle sprain, so heโll miss somewhere between two and four weeks in rehab," Wingard said.
โWeโll take a no-risk approach with his injury, so will assess him week-to-week before he starts running again.โ
