Collingwood's Taylor Adams is set to be a late withdrawal for tonight's blockbuster clash with Richmond at the MCG with hamstring tightness, according to a report by AFL.com.au.

The tough midfielder only just returned from an 11-game absence last week after dealing with an adductor injury.

Forward Ben Crocker was held over from Friday night's VFL clash with Richmond and looms as his replacement.

Veteran wingman Chris Mayne is also under an injury crowd with a knee complaint.

Mayne and Adams both took part in Wednesday's main training session.

Tyson Goldsack, Rupert Wills and Tyler Brown are Collingwood's other emergencies for tonight's clash.
