Geelong young gun Nakia Cockatoo has been ruled out of the rest of the Cats' clash with the Bulldogs after suffering an injury in the opening quarter.

Cockatoo sustained a hamstring injury during the first term and was getting work done on his leg during the quarter-time break, and didn't return to the bench after the interval.

Cockatoo missed rounds two and three this season with a broken thumb, before returning in round four and playing the past month of football.
