Jamie Elliott with miss Collingwood's Queen's Birthday clash with Melbourne after suffering a re-occurrence of an ankle injury that hampered him earlier in the season.

Elliott sustained the injury in the final quarter of the Pies' win over Fremantle on Sunday, and will miss Monday's clash, although Collingwood are unsure how many weeks he'll miss after that.

“Jamie will be in a boot until probably the end of this week,” Collingwood General Manager of Football Geoff Walsh told the club's website.

“We will then take it out and look at it again over the weekend and probably (by) Tuesday or Wednesday next week we will assess just how much improvement that’s made.

“Right now, it’s a bit early to tell.”

Daniel Wells has re-injured his calf and will join Elliott on the sidelines following an incident in the third quarter.

The former Roo was changing direction when he pulled up with the injury, before walking off the ground to seek attention.

“Daniel is having a scan to determine the exact nature of his injury later today (Tuesday) but we would expect that it is a medium-term injury,” Walsh said.

Tyson Goldsack has been diagnosed with a cracked scapula after he left the field in the second term of Sunday's contest.

Goldsack gallantly played out the remainder of the contest, and continued to fight despite being hampered with the injury.

“It was a really brave performance for Goldy to continue on for most of the game,” Walsh said.

“While it is cracked, there is little or no separation, so that’s good news.

“Again, after the bye, we will assess how quickly that has healed and his range of movement and his ability to function through pain, or what sort of level of pain.”
