Collingwood will be without star veteran Scott Pendlebury for the club's Round 17 clash with Gold Coast on Saturday afternoon.
The match at People First Stadium is a must-win fixture for both sides as the Suns and Pies hunt a wildcard finals spot after mediocre seasons to date.
Pendlebury will miss the important game after injuring his calf, with Angus Anderson replacing the 38-year-old in the line-up.
Anderson comes into the side in hot form, having collected 32 disposals, two goals, nine tackles and 11 clearances in his recent outing against Richmond VFL last weekend.
Pendlebury, fresh off his 25 disposals against Richmond in the senior side last round, joins Isaac Quaynor (injured) and Roan Steele (omitted) as the outs for Collingwood.
Meanwhile, brutal defender Brayden Maynard will return to the side and will be joined by debutant and mid-season draftee Liam Puncher.
The 22-year-old 196cm key defender has impressed at VFL level after crossing mid-season from SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens.
Gold Coast will be looking to end a five-game losing streak and regain control of its season in front of a home crowd.
The Suns will bring back forward-utility Ethan Read while also debuting first-year player and rocket Dylan Patterson for Charlie Ballard (omitted) and Jarrod Witts (omitted).
Having been picked fifth in the 2026 national draft, Patterson is a Gold Coast Academy graduate and expected to quickly become a fan favourite due to his speed, elusiveness and willingness to run and carry the ball.
