Gold Coast coach Damien Hardwick says gun on-baller Matt Rowell is "probable" to face St Kilda next week after missing Sunday's clash with an ankle injury.
Following an extraordinary 2025 campaign that resulted in claiming the Brownlow Medal, Rowell has faced constant setbacks dating back to State of Origin, when he broke his finger.
He returned for a stretch of four games, but was well off his best, before the latest ankle issue reared its ugly head.
"He'll probably train on Wednesday and then we'll have a better understanding," Hardwick said.
"We want to make sure when he's right to go he's right to go. He'll give himself his best chance, but we've got to be mindful sometimes to give the players the best chance to play long-term."
Despite a wholesale change at the selection table, the Suns' gritty win over GWS placed Hardwick's men back inside the top six.
Jarrod Witts and Zeke Uwland were managed, but are tipped to return against the Saints, while Jed Walter's omission is likely to persist given Jamarra Ugle-Hagan's three-goal performance.
Midfielder Sam Clohesy might be unavailable for the Darwin trip following a tackle on Giant Ryan Angwin, which resulted in the latter entering concussion protocols.
In the second term, Clohesy pinned one of Angwin's arms in a tackle, before driving him into the ground, resulting in the Giant's head bouncing off the ground.
The Suns will learn of his fate Monday afternoon.
