Nat Fyfe's management has described reports that the 2015 Brownlow medallist is set to sign for St Kilda at the end of the season for $1.5 million a year as false.

According to Fox Sports' Jake Niall, Fyfe's management company, Stride Sports, told foxfooty.com.au on Monday the rumours were "100 per cent untrue".

“Stride Sports Management can 100 per cent deny the rumours today that Nat Fyfe has formally, or informally, agreed to a contract with St Kilda Football Club next year and beyond,” Fyfe’s manager Jason Dover said.

“Furthermore, we can confirm that Nat Fyfe remains focused on the start of the AFL season and committing to the Fremantle Football Club in 2017.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to encourage the football public to check the credibility of their news and the person behind it.”

The response comes on the back of reports that were released on Monday morning, in which Perth radio presenter Brad Fitzgerald of the 'Carmen and Fitzi' program on Perth's 96FM, said he was told Fyfe would be making a move to Victoria at the end of the season.

“The offer is worth $1.5 million a season and it is — as far as legally wise — virtually accepted,” Fitzgerald said.

“He can’t sign yet but it’s basically a done deal and he is going to St Kilda.

“I can’t name names but this has come from a high-ranking board member of St Kilda.”

The 25-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and has averaged 26.8 disposals a game to start 2017.
