Melbourne are said to have an interest in medium-sized Giants forward Callum Brown this year.
According to The Age, the Demons have expressed some level of intrigue in Brown's services, with the Irishman yet to sign a new deal beyond the current season.
Melbourne are in need of adding to their forward line amid an ineffective run in front of goals, with Brown an accurate set shot specialist.

The future of Dockers tall Sean Darcy remains a talking point despite the ruckman having a contract with Fremantle until the end of 2030.
The starring form of Luke Jackson has some seeing the ex-Demon as the Dockers' best ruckman, producing suggestions Darcy could be gettable on the open market.

Swans coach responds to defender's trade rumour
Sydney coach Dean Cox has stated defender Ollie Florent won't be on the move after a trade rumour suggested clubs have begun circling the Victorian.
Florent was dropped for the Swans' Round 15 clash with Port Adelaide, sparking some level of intrigue from rival clubs.
Florent, who is under contract after re-signing with the Swans last year, is seen as a required player in Sydney.

Magpies ruckman Darcy Cameron is anticipated to re-sign with Collingwood on a new deal that will be close to doubling his pay.
Cameron, who is signed with the Magpies until the end of next year, has garnered interest from both West Coast and Carlton this year.
The potential All-Australian is now tipped to recommit at his current club on a deal closer to his valuer, per Triple M's Ryan Daniels.

Hardwick responds to Lynch trade link
Gold Coast coach Damien Hardwick has shut down the suggestion he could reunite with Tiger and ex-Sun Tom Lynch in Queensland.
With Lynch off-contract, and the Suns potentially in need of further support for Ben King, Lynch's name was raised as an ideal trade by his old teammate in Richmond champion Jack Riewoldt.
Questioned on the thought this week, Hardwick said Lynch looks settled in Victoria.

Butters discusses future
Port Adelaide star Zak Butters has spoken on his future, despite being under contract at Alberton until the end of next year.
Butters has earned strong interest from his home state of Victoria, with clubs expected to be readying deals for 2027 and beyond.
Speaking to media this week, Butters said his focus is on football, but conceded he'll need to assess his options in the off-season.
